Primordial Serpent: Disharmony
Primordial Serpent: Disharmony, 2025, mixed media on canvas, 70 × 40 cm.
What happens when the masculine and feminine principles clash and fight for dominance? Who wins? Who loses? Are there even any winners, or is everyone bound to lose themselves in chaos?
Inspired by the cosmic serpent concept, a conscious aspect of the DNA, Primordial Serpent explores the world of duality within us but also in the Universe (as above, so below) and offers an insight into two possible paths — one of conflict and destruction and the other of balance and harmony.
As its name hints, ‘Disharmony’ is the piece that explores the conflict and chaos that it brings. With vague, double entendre symbolisms, it leaves it up to the viewer to decide who wins in the conflict between two principles. Because in the end, it doesn’t matter who wins that battle; by embarking on the path of disharmony, the war is already lost to Chaos.
